Since this weekend is the 184th annual conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I thought today I would share one of my favorite photographic subjects: LDS Temples.
Since my earliest days in photography, I have loved making images of the temple. Temples are especially sacred to our Mormon culture. They are the places where we can go to learn more about our relationship with God and what we need to do to return to live with him some day. We also make sacred covenants in temples. If you’d like to know a little more about Mormon Temples and their importance in our religion, here is a short video that explains it well.
Today, though, I would like to share with you a few of my favorite temple images. These were all made by me. You can find more of my temple photographs here.
I Love to See the Temple
If you would like to see more lds temple photos you can find my gallery, along with others at Fine Art America. Do you have a favorite temple? Please share your favorites in the comment section below. Who knows? Perhaps it will be the next on my visiting list.
And, just in case you wanted to know where the title of this post came from, it’s a Primary Song.
